Oaty Biscuits

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This is a recipe which I first made for my dad.

But my dad loved them so much, I had to make them again. If you like flapjacks, then you will definitely like these!

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Margarine
2. Brown Sugar
3. An Egg
4. Vanilla Flavouring
5. Water
6. Plain Flour
7. Bicarbonate of Soda
8. Rolled Oats

Bismillah, let's get started!

First, preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4.

Next, weigh out 6 ounces of Margarine. Make sure it's at room temperature.

Weigh out 9 ounces of Brown Sugar.

Add the margarine and sugar to a large mixing bowl and beat until soft and fluffy.

Next, add 1 Egg and beat it in.

The next ingredient is vanilla flavouring.

Add 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Flavouring to the mixture.

Then, add 4 tablespoons of Water.

Beat the mixture until it's smooth.

Then, weigh out 5 ounces of Plain Flour.

Next, you need some bicarbonate of soda.

Add 1/2 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda to the mixture.

Next, the star of this recipe, rolled oats.

Weigh out 13 ounces of Rolled Oats.

Add the flour, bicarbonate of soda and the rolled oats to the wet mixture.

And mix everything together!

Take a flat baking tray and grease it.
Then spoon spoonfuls of the mixture on to the tray. Keep them a bit apart and press them down with a spoon to flatten them.
Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven Gas Mark 4 / 180C.

Let them cool and then serve!
But in my opinion, these are delicious piping hot!!
