  5. salaam im back!
lol, i made the homemade doughnuts recipe and it was a disaster i dont know why it turned out so bad,in ramadan i made them and they were perfect and then yesterday i decided to make them and they were rock hard and the dough didnt rise when i put it in a warm place,i kept it there for ages yet it did not rise. was so upset yesterday lol, i made the doughnuts exactly the same way as it said on the recipe except i kept the yeast in the milk for longer,20 minutes as i was busy...is this the reason why they were so hard? im thinking of making them again but i would like some advice for them, thankyou.
    salaam,nafisah.

    1. Assalamu alaikum Nafisah! I think keeping the yeast with milk for longer may have been the reason. Or your yeast may have been out of date. The milk may also have been too hot or too cold for the yeast to activate. My way of checking the right temperature is testing the liquid with my finger. It should be hot but not too hot that you have to pull your finger quickly out - it that makes sense. Hope that helps and take care! :)
