Flourless Chocolate Brownies

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Flourless Chocolate Brownies.

These brownies are really fudgy and gooey, and are amazing on their own or served with ice cream. They are also perfect for anyone on a gluten-free diet as they contain no flour.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Milk Chocolate

2. Dark Chocolate
3. Butter
4. Caster Sugar
5. Eggs
6. Vanilla Flavouring
7. Ground Almonds

Bismillah, let's begin!

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 3 / 160C.

Into a heatproof bowl, place 4 ounces (115 grams) milk chocolate and 4 ounces (115 grams) dark chocolate.

Add 8 ounces (227 grams) cubed butter.

Place the bowl on top of a saucepan with simmering water in it, and place onto a low heat, so that the chocolate melts.

Once the mixture has melted, remove from the heat and allow to cool whilst making the rest of the batter.

In a separate large bowl, place 7 ounces (200 grams) caster sugar.

Add 3 large eggs.

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring

Beat the mixture together until combined.

Add the cooled chocolate mixture.

Whisk in the chocolate until combined.

Add 6 ounces (170 grams) ground almonds.

Stir in the ground almonds.

Pour the mixture into a greased and lined dish.

Bake the brownie in the preheated oven at Gas Mark 3 / 160C for 30 to 40 minutes, until the top has set but the middle is still gooey. Once baked, allow to cool completely.

To serve, slice the brownie (it will still be gooey), dust with icing sugar, and add 2 scoops ice cream. The ice cream above is salted caramel flavour, but you can serve it with any flavour you like.

Wasalaam!
